Monthly Meetings

Our meeting place is North Haven Gardens on the 4th Sunday of every month, except November and December.  North Haven Gardens  is located at 7700 Northaven Road, Dallas, TX 75230. Click here for map.

How To Have An Earth Kind Yard and Garden.
Jeff is the Dallas County Horticultural Program Assistant for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension specializing in Urban natural environments and urban food gardens. He has been in Horticulture over 40 years and started teaching for Texas A&M University 7 years ago after retiring from the wholesale nursery business. Jeff  also specializes in backyard chickens and is currently writing a book for Texas A&M press called 
''Raising Chickens in Texas."

Earth-Kind Landscaping uses research-proven techniques to provide maximum garden and landscape enjoyment while preserving and protecting the environment. The objective of Earth-Kind Landscaping is to combine the best of organic and traditional gardening and landscaping principles to create a horticultural system based on real world effectiveness and environmental responsibility. Our meeting place is the large classroom in the Tropicals greenhouse at North Haven Gardens on the 4th Sunday of the month, Jan - Oct.  Refreshments beginning at 2:30pm.  Meeting start at 3:00pm.  North Haven Gardens is located at 7700 Northaven Road, Dallas, 75230.  See map.
